Break Away Headcollar Black
LeMieux Break Away Headcollar Black.
The LeMieux Break Away Headcollar is a safe and easy headcollar to use for turnout.
The Break Away Headcollar gives peace of mind if their horse was to ever get caught up in the field, or for tying up difficult horses & ponies. It is ideal for educating youngsters and those with established bad habits when being tied up and those who may get a bit tangled in the field.
It is crafted from a strong premium nylon with a padded nose and a leather pressure release mechanism which breaks under heavy load avoiding serious injury. Perfect for using when traveling, for turnout and for shows.
It is finished with stitched leather detail.
Please note: Safety is one of the benefits of a breakaway headcollar versus a nylon headcollar. They are designed to break under extreme pressure, i.e. if a horse pulls back when tied up or the headcollar is caught on a fence or solid object. This normally occurs at the point of the check rings and can prevent serious injury. We always recommend tying up with release knot and monitor difficult horses all the time.
